niibin 2014 brought many new friedns to the study of climate change and wild rice. For the past five years students have been studying the past , present and future of the growth of wild rice on the FOnd du Lac reservation. The week provided opportunity for older students to assist new and/or younger students to complete daily studies. Students creasted Ojibwe glyphs for the cover art on sketchbooks, built rockets and launched them, participated in a RiverWatch study of the St. Louis RIver, completed a geology study of the rocks found in the St. Louis river ara as well as visited Madeline Island. Books were purchased at Barnes and Nobles for the trip.

It was a great week. Presentations were given to family and friends about all they learned.
