dagwaagin 2010 participated in the first GeoScience Alliance held at the Black Bear Casino in Cloquet, MN. Sponsored by the National Center for Earth-surface Dynamics, manoomin students presented posters describing their first year's manoomin project work. Students talked with those attending the conference about their current work and future questions they hope thier work will address. Those in attendance travelled from thoughout North America, students and Scientists alike, in an effort to better address concern for the earth as American Indian people.

Additional study was completed by gidakiimanaanaiwigamig students of George Morrison, a world reknowned sculptor and painter. Morrison, and Ojibwe man born in Grand Portage, MN, studied and lived through the world and is repected as a leader in the abstract expressionist movement. Students created small oil pastel landscapes incorporating Morrison's composition tool incorporating 1/4 sky to 3/4 land.
