biboon 2008-2009 students spent a full day of hands on study in the Anatomy lab, Math studio and computer progamming lab. Gary Bennison and the Algebra Project. Students studied and experimented with a variety of pop-up folds. Teachers who had recently completed a workshop sponsored by ISD2142's Indian Education with Mr. Bennison in teaching hand's on engineering and Math curriculum projects through the Algebra Project and City College Technology projects were available to collaborate with students in their study. Additional work was completed in the Anatomy lab at the Fond du Lac' Tribal and Community College Science Department where students dissected fetal pigs. It was many student's initial experience with such a study. Lastly, students spent time in the computer lab programming short animations in Scratch, an open source program teaching basic programming skills. Scratch is a programming language that makes it easy to create your own interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art -- and share your creations on the web(see web site). PoetryOUTLOUD made its debute.
